Yahsas! I’m Christos, owner of Pitaria, a small family run business providing Greek street food and fresh produce. I am a chef from Rhodes, Greece and have always loved food. My journey began at the age of nineteen when I started training as a chef. I launched Pitaria, my street food stall offering Greek style wraps at local markets. In the beginning I struggled to find dips such as Tzaztiki and flatbread pitas that were just like home. No shop bought breads or dips compared. I wanted my customers to experience the taste of Greece as authentically as possible without having to travel on a plane to do so.

 After several hours spent trialling my recipes to make my handmade breads, I finally perfected the taste and ‘fluffiness.’ I then turned my skills to my dips starting with Tzatziki, using my years of experience working as a head chef and my inspiration from cooking with my mother, learning her recipes that where past down to her from my grandmother and then I finally found my recipe!
